I became reacquainted with rock n roll of the fifies-sixties about ten years ago and this time fell in love with the rock n roll scene. the music, the bands, dancing and all the wonderful people (friends) involved in it
after a three years of trying to pick up moves out on the dance floor, along with a good friend Lynette we started doing lessons. We were lucky in that we became close friends with our teachers, four of them. Everywhere we went it was a lesson, mainly in Savoy lindy hop (swing) over the next four years we assisted our teachers in teaching others how to dance our style and at times would take class.
I first registered the name "TOP CAT DANCERS" on the 24th of January 2006 as a dance school.
Insurance with Sports Cover Australia Pty. Ltd. has also been taken out. it is the students that are within our group, that are testament to the success of "Topcat Dancers" within a few months the students the majority of whom are new to the dance scene are becoming quickly proficent at not only rock n roll, swing and several of the line dances that are part of the rock n roll scene.
